With more than 30 years of sales management, participation as a public company
board member and motivational speaking experience, Ms. Miltner has performed
with consistently successful results in the microcomputer industry and the corporate
governance arena. She is currently the CEO for her own management consulting
company, POSITIVE IMPACT, which specializes in distribution dynamics, sales
training, management, and compensation.
Ms. Miltner has served as an officer or member of the Board of Directors for seven
public companies, during which time she participated in IPO processes, secondary
offerings, mergers, acquisitions, and the sale or consolidation of twelve public
companies. In recognition of her board participation, the Forum for Corporate
Directors named her “Director of the Year” for Corporate Growth in 1999. She
currently serves as the Chair of the Compensation Committee for two public
companies.
From January 2000 to October 2002 she served as the CEO of the Global
Technology Distribution Council, whose members are the CEO’s and Chairmen of the
world’s largest distributors of technology products. GTDC member revenues
exceeded $90 billion in 2001.
Before establishing her own company, she served as Senior Vice President of Sales
for Ingram Micro, the world's largest multi-billion dollar distributor of computer
products, and has held numerous sales and management positions with IBM, Xerox
Corporation and Apple Computer.
She has served as Chair of the Advisory Council for The Computing Technology
Industry Association and a member of its Board of Directors, as well as a member of
the Editorial Cabinet of Computer Reseller News and the Advisory Board for
EuroChannels.
An accomplished public speaker and motivator, Ms. Miltner experience provides a
unique insight into the sales and management processes of the microcomputer
industry's most successful companies, resulting in a unique understanding of the
Information Technology global supply chain. She is committed to improving the
corporate governance education process and has been consistently dedicated to
increasing corporate profitability and shareholder value.
Ms. Miltner became a Director of QLogic in February 1994. From July 1991 to
February 1999 she was President of Motivation by Miltner. Ms. Miltner is also a
board member of SRS Labs, Inc.
